Sign in to disble this ad
Hi I just found this forum and am wondering if this auction is a good price for the gotoh resolite tuners? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MESE:IT&ih=022

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

It's pretty much the same as Hipshot Ultralights, so that's not a bad price.
IMO, those are the best tuners money can buy.

This is a good price. I found them on allparts.com where they sell for more. And I haven't seen any other online seller.

BTW they are even slightly lighter than ultralites.

Will those things fit a fender with ordinary tuning pegs without drilling new holes?

Seems like the question of "is this a direct replacement?" is one that catalog/website copy rarely seems to answer definitively. Sometimes you get a diagram, but then you gotta go compare it to diagram of the bass you wanna stick the part on (if you can find one), or take measurements. It can be a real pain. I wish parts suppliers would be explicit. Dudes, to wit:
Quote:
Fender direct replacement: Yes
or
Quote:
Fender direct replacement: No

Also, why the heck are such (otherwise) great bridges like the Gotoh 203 and the Schaller 453 not direct replacement?
