Gotoh or Schaller tuners?

Well I'm ordering a new neck for my SX from stewmac, and I'd also like to get some new tuners (the ones on it don't hold tune very well). I've got either:

To choose from. The Gotohs are lighter and cheaper which are both positives, but which hold tune better? Maybe is it worth putting extra in for hipshots?

EDIT: Today I had a jam and was playing standing up for a long time, and realized how much I really need lighter tuners, so it's between the gotohs and the hipshots.

Sorry to bump this thread but I really need answers as I'm going to order soon. Maybe should I get it moved to Basses?

I'm a Gotoh man myself, but I've never used Schallers. All of my Gotohs are great. No tuning problems. Sometimes I don't touch tuning for 2 weeks at a time and I play every day.

The Hipshots are top-of-the-line. If you think you need the best, go for the Hipshots. Otherwise, the Gotohs or Schallers will do the job just fine.

My $0.02 -- I've had several enclosed Gotoh type tuners prematurely wear and fail, while I've never had any problems with open gear Schaller / Fender type tuners.

+1 on the Hipshots as top of the line.
