I ride Ducati motorcycles and I have a fair amount of carbon fibre (graphite) bling on both my bikes. There's a lot more motorcycles with carbon fibre accesories around than there are graphite necked basses and you will find that there are folks who can almost invisibly repair carbon fibre motorcycle parts after the inevitable trackday crashes.

They might be easier to google than a luthier with carbon fibre experience

I thought Zon pretty much used stock Gotoh GB-7 type tuners which can be interchanged with Hipshot Ultralites (probably 3/8"...my favorite). Can't help you with graphite chipping although I have filled / retapped screwholes with a mix of marine epoxy and graphite powder.

Where did the chipping occur? Just curious on this end. And on the hardware topic, it really depends on what the original hardware was. An email to Zon should clear up your options. I'm not aware of too much "zon" hardware, except for some with Zon labels/engravings, and the specialty hardware on the Hyperbass.

zon have never replied to any of my emails ever. not even in regards to getting a bass built.

the chipping is on the headstock. i'd also like to know if a 519 neck can be fitted to a sonus 5/1
