I was wondering if the graphtech Fender saddles will improve my tone over the Fender Deluxe multiple grooved saddles?

I'd guess that the change in tone from one saddle material to another would be subtle.... very, very subtle.

LOL. Even Graphtech themselves don't make any tone claims (that I've seen) for those saddles; they just advertise that their saddles reduce string-breakage due to friction. That said, they are good products, I'm not dissing them at all.

I put Tusq saddles on a '54 P bass copy with flats and had a bone nut made. It does make a difference. Then drilled the body through, added ferrules and new string through bridge and made even more difference. Ka-chunky-thump goodness.

I put graphite saddles on a Strat to help improve string bend with the tremelo. Not sure it changed the tone at all though. I think their purpose is more in the way of reducing string friction than tonal changes. But it you perceive a tone change for the better after installing them then that's great.

The weird thing is they make tone improvement claims for the buyers, but not the saddles even though they are both based of the same material. I guess maybe it's a legal thing? Anyway, my bass is string through, and that makes a load of difference. Never want to too load ever again!
