So, the title pretty much sums up the problem.
I've posted this also in the spector club a while ago, and despite the advice there's still no result. Since i don't want to take it to a tech (and pay..) please tell me some ways to get rid of this. I've tried cleaning it with almost anything!
edit: I know the pic isn't the best, but you can see what i mean just before the headstock.

if the staining you have has somehow bled through the finish - you're likely out of luck. Bodily fluids have a way of seeping into wood and never coming out. |

I'll try the steel wool.

You can always paint the neck black.

Proactively, there may be oil finishes that you can put on that don't hamper your playing, but that protect the wood without altering its color.
You could also experiment with this: http://home.howstuffworks.com/how-to...-furniture.htm
But I might find a beater to try that out on first...
If you sweat a lot when playing, then, as others said, wipe down the neck frequently.
If this becomes a matter of obsession, you can wage war on your sweaty hands: http://www.prlog.org/10210957-stop-s...ands-fast.html
