Are Grover tuners interchangeable with Gotoh?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi!

I've got a bass with Grover mini tuners (machineheads) like these:

I'm about to change all hardware to black but there's no black Grover tuners of this kind. I used Gotoh on another basses and they work great. And there are black Gotoh tuners on the market. Like these:

So, does anybody know if these Grover tuners interchangeable with black Gotoh?
Or maybe they are interchangeable with some other popular tuners' brands which are pretty common in black?

Thanks!

I know for a fact that mini grovers do come in black It's more of a shiny black, which they call black chrome or something similar.

To answer your question, most of the time grover has a gotoh counterpart and vice versa. When the issue is the hole size and dimensions, people generally call "Crover/Gotoh". So I am guessing you should be ok. But, don't take my word for it. Grover has exact dimension at their website, I am sure gotoh has them, too.

Many thanks!

I can't find any black (or "black chrome", or "black nickel") Grovers for sale anywhere. Gotohs are more common. I think I'll try them.
