guitar techs in DFW (Dallas, Arlington)

Sign in to disble this ad
It has been awhile since I used a guitar tech but now I want to find one. One place I liked is gone the other has a three month wait. So any recommendations for a guitar tech in the Dallas, Arlington, Irving area?

Thanks for the help.

Located near 635 & Greenville inside a recording studio.

Dan McCarthy is a top-notch guitar tech but he has no problem servicing basses. I mostly had fret (raised and uneven) problems and a few truss rod problems - he fixed it all for me. He even routes pickup cavities and other luthier types of work.

Thanks jazzmonk. I was hoping for something on the west side (Irving, Grand Prairie, Arlington).

Looks like Dan can do more than I need though. I just need someone else to look at a neck for me.

I played in a band years ago and their guitar tech was in Arlington. He was awful, and screwed up one of my basses and charged a ton for the trouble. I forget his name but might remember it if I heard it. Shoot me a PM if you get any recommendations and I'll let you know if it's the same guy.

+1 On Dan Mcarthy, he's done quite a bit of work for me and is upfront honest and usually has a quick turn around. I highly recommend him.
