It looks like is the same bridge type as on the HB-4.

If that's the case you'll need a 1.5mm (metric) hex key. Use that to loose the small screw that is on the saddle you want to lower/raise.

Then use a pair of pliers to adjust the height by turning the big screw where the string rests on, turn it clockwise to lower it and counterclockwise to raise it (looking at it from the bridge) and that's it.

hagstrom bass bridge adjustment

hey that's the way to do it I think, but the saddles don't really go low enough, and it's terribly akward to do anyway....

Good thing for this forum, I never would have figured it out, strange setup but I got the strings down to height I wanted them (basically maximum). Watch out for that small screw in the saddle, easy to lose if you screw it out too far and it drops on the floor. One of the screws (E string) doesn't seem to screw in as deep (?).

Awkward yes and I would much prefer a conventional bridge type adjustments.

Yes, it seems that E doesn't go low enough, but you can try some oil, I don't know the name of that oil but is the kind they use for some mechanical parts of bikes and sewing machines, that makes the saddles turn easier and maybe you can lower them more.

Also maybe you need to straight the truss rod, because even if the saddle for the E string does not seem to go low enough, there is a point where it starts to buzz.
