Hairline crack on Bass Headstock?

Hi

I picked up a secondhand bass from ebay recently and i noticed that there is a hairline crack about 1 1/2 inches long at the g string tuner. I was wondering would this be any major concern as the wood there is maple and that wood is very strong. Any suggestions?

The crack should be repaired. If you do not have the skills take the guitar to a reputable luthier or repair tech and have the crack glued. White or yellow glues will do the job nicely.
