hardware corrosion

What can I do to prevent all the pickguard screws from corroding in a severe way. or do I just need to replace them all every year? My hands must be toxic to metal.

stainless steel screws...available at better hardware stores....

I've been using 316 stainless screws on my fender basses and they are the shiznit.
