I am trying to duplicate this bass on a budget

I am using a Squire Vintage Modified P bass as my template. I think a found somebody locally to do the custom pinstriping who does Harley's, etc. I think I will have to get a custom sticker made for the West Ham United crest though. What type of sticker should I look for? Waterslide decal, other? I have no idea what to ask for. I suppose I will have the decal and pinstriping, probably the whole body clearcoated after application. Also, does anyone know of a manufacturer of direct replacement pickguard for a Squire P who offers a mirror pickguard? Any help or suggestions would be helpful.

why will you have to custom make the West Ham sticker? this is the internet! the whole world at your fingertips! just google for someone selling a real one for cheap.

I could not find one with a white or clear background believe it or not. I'm certainly not afraid to google but had no luck. In fact, all West Ham crests I found have a red background, yellow design, and blue piping around the crest. I'm not that picky about the colors but I don't want a big blue square that looks obviously like a sticker.

Why don't you make your own version of a Harris P bass? Like use the favorite colors of your football team? and logo?

You should be able to get one from WD music at http://www.pickguards.com
There are manufacturers that make acetate film specifically for inkjet printers. The background should be able to be removed in a program such as Photoshop. Of course, if you do not have the time, ability or access to these materials, a local graphics shop (Kinkos, Alpha graphics, etc.) should be able to assist you.

I wanted to put together a tribute bass once.

I was going to do the blue with mirrored pickguard.
I still like that set up better. He painted over the British metal-mojo in that bass with the new paint job

BTW - They rocked this past summer at Merriwether Post!!

I actually decided to go this route. I will use this logo from the Liverpool team, kindof a Beatles tie-in. I plan on getting some nitro clear coat from Guitar Re-ranch to spray over the sticker. I will send the existing black pickguard to one of the custom houses probably and get one made to ensure a good fit. I may even go with a compementary colored mirror pickguard rather than plain mirror, I haven't decided yet. Of course I will post pics when completed.
