Help! Am. Std. P5 Truss Rod Adjustment

Sign in to disble this ad
My few-weeks-old american standard P5 needs a neck adjustment, and I sat down this evening to do so. I have complete sets of both types of hex wrenches, and proceeded to find out, after several frustrating minutes, that I can't get any of them to work/fit.

Anyone help? Does Fender have a special tool for this truss rod adjustment process? I got nothing in the case candy pack that can help. If they don't have a special tool, does anyone know the correct hex size?

the truss rod tool should be in the case candy... if its not there then someone took it out before you purchased it.
