Help! BB415 Setup Issue

Sign in to disble this ad
Just took delivery of a (M.F. sale) new Yammie BB415. Had one before, sold it and have missed it since. Anyway, strung it with new Deep Talkin' flats, adjusted the action, etc.

Something strange (to me) going on here. All of the strings are just fine sonically, except the B. If you strike it even a little bit hard, it sounds terrible - buzz, distorted, almost like an overdrive response. I've lowered the PUs away from the string with little or no effect. WTH? Wondered if anyone else has experienced this type of issue.

Also, I found that I'm able to (slightly) wiggle the bridge pup with my fingers, whereas the neck pup doesn't move at all. Any other BB414/415 owners experience this?

TIA for the help. I'll probably wind up taking it in to a luthier but kinda wanted some input before.
