Help: Button Strap

I recentely bought an Epiphone El Capitan acoustic electric bass. The button stap came loose and there are wires attached to the end of it. Any help?

Sounds like your input jack nut came off the back of the jack. Get a mirror and put into the sound hole and see if you can find the nut and washer. You will need to adjust the nut and washer to allow the shaft of the jack to protrude through the body and install the washer/nut on the outside of the body. The strap button fits over the shaft.
