Unhappy HELP!! I can't get my '69 P bass tuner to stop buzzing!

Sign in to disble this ad
I just got back from vacation and my '69 P-bass (original tuners) will not stop buzzing when the open G, open D, 7th fret D on G string, and 9th fret E on G string are plucked. I unstrung the bass and realized that the G tuner key can wiggle around inside its base and I think it's the source....HOW DO I FIX THIS!!?!?!? I'm bugging out because I really don't want to have to get a new tuner for an all original '69 P-bass and the buzzing is annoying as hell! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have tuners that can wiggle to... but no sound....
I doubt this really is the source, there is so much pressure on the tuner when strung up and tuned, that it really can't wiggle anymore...
