Help identify these vintage parts

Sign in to disble this ad
hi, so I just bought a big box of vintage parts and am having some trouble pining these ones down. im pretty sure the bridge is from a guild but have no idea about these two cover plates. also if anyone feels like putting a rough guess at what this stuff might be worth that would be greatly appreciated.
thank you for your help.

Samantha.

Bridge

cover: a

cover: b

1st - obviously a bridge/tailpiece - otherwise I have no idea.

2nd - bridge cover off an early Fender precision or copy. You can see where someone's put adhesive on the inside to hold some foam to deaden the strings. Might actually be old. I can't remember if those early ones had 'F' on them - I'd need to check the book.

3rd looks like a bridge cover for a Strat. Don't see them very often.

Others may correct me.

The bridge is likely from an early Guild Starfire, before than switch to the slanted design with separate saddles. I have seen them before but I can't find a pic.
Here is an intermediate, still the old plate with separate saddles.

The bridge cover probably comes from a Gibson Grabber.

It's not a Fender because they all have the screw holes in the middle.

cover: a is definitely not from a fender, maybe a copy although I know it doesn’t fit over a fender bridge and has different shaped ears so I doubt it.
as for cover: b I’d be curious to know where you are getting strat cover from? it doesn’t even look remotely close to me.
anyways thanks for the input.

Wow cover: a looks really close to the one on that grabber. unfortunately I’m seeing a few small differences. maybe it go’s to different gibson model.

Maybe it's from a Grabber copy. And could number 3 be a Fender Jaguar Bridge cover ?

cover: b is not from a jaguar, google confirmed. any more guesses? also does any body want to take a stab at what the guild bridge might be worth? I think I will probably end up selling that one if I can put a reasonable price on it. anyways I wanted to say once again thanks for all your help.

Cover a is a Tele-bass pickup cover.

Probably after-market.

The first is a 60s Hagstrom bridge (also used on Futurama and some Guilds)

Yes, I was well off with the Strat cover. But I've seen one of these before (I go back to the late 50's) and I'm sure it's a bridge cover of some sort.

Our bassist in the 60's had an Italian Eko bass which may have had something like this shape over the saddles.
