Help me

Sign in to disble this ad
I play an LTD B-155 5string. The band I am in plays in Drop D. I have tried staying in standard but preffer droping to D. Ok, here is my freaking problem. When I drop to D I get fret buzz. I have had two set ups in the last two months. After playing through our set list a few time the dreaded buzz is back on the D string. Can anyone help me with this problem or should I go back to standard

So your 5 string is tuned EADGC?

Assuming yes, there isn't much you can do except maybe try a somewhat heavier E string. Else I'd set it up for the D, and it'll only be more taut when tuned to E...

You posted that you drop to D. Assuming you mean from E to D, then simply set the bass up tuned to the D.

BDADG should set up just fine. Have you read the setup sticky at the top of the forum? My fave link in it is the Mr. Gearhead...
