Help with my Warwick Thumb!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
Okay, I don't know what I did but I was trying to adjust the nut on my Warwick Thumb last night and the screw is really loose now. The screw which you screw in to raise the string height is not doing it's job. Anyone familiar with Warwicks? Do I need to buy a replacement nut. If so, where would I find one?

They do get loose if the string is off or no tension on it at the time.. It can be a challenge to change strings and not have them move around and loose the current string set up you had.. Just take the string off carefully. They do wobble and turn. I doubt if it is worn down enough to need replacing. I have had mine for years and never needed a replacing.

The nut is worn. Don't know how but it just is. Screw keeps falling out of the hole. I called Dana-Be-Good (a Warwick distributor in CA) and they'll send me one of the new replacement nuts for FREE!!! Man that guy was really helpful. He said that's a common problem if you try to adjust the nut too much. The new ones are less likely to do that. If anyone has the same problem, I highly recommend calling Tyler at Dana-Be-Good. 1-800-741-0109 extension 1709. Or if you just want a free nut:
