Unhappy Help! Neck warp/ bowing!

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok, I just figured out why the action on my Dean playmate edge was always so pooey. Low at the first three frets, and more than 1/2 inch around 12th fret. It is definitely bowed. I first thought that I would just buy an Sx neck and swap 'em, but : 1. My dean has 22 frets. SX'es have only 20. This would kill my intonation, right? 2. My Dean's neck has a straight edge at the end, w/ the fingerboard extending over the body. The SX necks have the curve-y ends of the neck. To make it worse, I have $0/resources

You can fix this by turning the truss rod.
