HELP! Possible problem with new Status Graphite Neck

Sign in to disble this ad
My new neck from Status Graphite just arrived in the mail! I'm going to put it on my Stingray and I've been excited about it for a while.

I just realized though...and I don't know how much of a problem this is (or if it is one at all) but....

My stingray is one of the older, 4 bolt neck models. Newer Stingrays come with 6 bolts connected the neck to the body.

There are no holes pre drilled in the Status neck.

Does anybody know if the Status necks are made specifically for 6 bolts or can I put one on a 4 bolt?

thanks

It shouldn't matter. Your Status neck is made to be drilled to match the body. As long as it fits, there is no issue.

That's good news.... Status makes necks specifically for Stingrays. I guess it shouldn't be a problem.

If anybody else wants to reassure me though, you can!

This is from the Status website:

All models have a super tough insert in the base of the neck so they may simply be drilled and screwed to the instrument. This ensures the best possible fit.

All necks are designed to suit 3, 4 and 6 screw fixing.
