Help with truss rod! need some questions answered

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok so I read that how to add relief to the neck is by turning the truss rod so that the rod loosens up and the strings cause the relief well I've been adjusting my truss rod to the stock strings on my five string bass and there flimsy

I adjusted my truss rod big time about 4/8 turn and it looks pretty good so far. If i up the string gauge by .05 and get quality strings will this pull the neck a lot more? will i need to bring down the truss rod adjustment?
