Help With Warwick Finish Repair

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey everyone--

I just re-acquired my Warwick Dolphin Pro I 4 string, Boire Rosewood body. The last owner was a bit hard on the bass, and the body wood shows some finish scratches, most of which are not too deep.

Any ideas on repairing/rubbing these out???

Thanks,

Andy.

Check the official site. They've got some methods of doing things. (I think for yours it would involve some cloth and an iron to sort of steam the dings out.)

It depends if the scratches disrupt the grain or not. If the grain is not disrupted, you can steam them out, lightly sand, and re-oil. But if the grain is disrupted, I don't think there's much you can do.
