| Hennessey strap locks fit Warwick strap buttons?

I picked up a set of Hennessey strap locks tonight. I liked them because they have a similar design to Duncans, but there's still a usable strap button under the lock. When I got them home tonight, I opened them up, and I noticed that the strap buttons that came with the locks looked similar to the buttons on my Warwick. I tried them out, just to see if the locks would work on them, and they did.
I don't know if anyone else has had this experience, or if this will somehow fail me in the future, but I've pulled on these things and bumped them from every direction and they're not coming off unless I deliberately release them. I thought I'd share due to the fact that I wasn't looking forward to unscrewing my strap buttons, using different sized screws, and then refilling the holes with toothpicks forever. |
