here is another question I have "making my electric fretless bass into a covertable"

Hey, I was wondering this

I have seen on ebay once or twice, and else where on the internet people who turn their electric bass guitars into convertable basses.

I have a fretless bass guitar, besides having a upright bass which will be going into the shop in febraury to get fixed. I also at one time owned a stagg electric upright. But did not like the tone on it, nor its durability at all.

now this is an idea I have, I do not now how it would work, plus I do not like taking my upright bass around all the place either, plus the added scare of repair bills from bangs and bumps.

the idea was to take two by four saw a small part off and paint it, then drill a hole in and be able to screw to the body of my bass guitar, then get a dolly long enough to use as pin for it, and be able to play the fretless bass guitar vertically instead of horizontally like I would at a normal rock gig,

just wondering if this would work, or is the a better way to make a stand to play the bass vertically cheaply and affordable, that can be homemade.
