The bridge has little to do with it. Adding a heavier bridge will make the tone ever so slightly brighter, that's all. The differences you noticed have to do with the bass as a whole.

"Boyancy"???

What you want in a bridge is STABILITY. If you find that your bridge saddles shift, replace it:

Don't spend too much $$ - the main issue is likely NOT your bridge but that you are playing an inexpensive bass. A USA Fender is just a better instrument than a Squier (hence their extra cost).

well the only reason i thought it could be fixed by a bridge is my friend put a badass bridge 2 on his and he says its easier to slap on.

The only reason that might be true is that the new bridge may allow him to set the action(string height) lower than before. There's really nothing else to it.

yeah man...and try not to get to stuck on the fantasy of slapping...its a good tool to have in the closet, but most bands will not call for it, if you really want to practice something start trying to learn more theory, theory can be applied to any style you choose to play...i regret the two years i worshipped Flea when i could have been actually studying theory and learning the ins and outs music to become more versatile.

Welcome to TB!
You should be able to slap with the stock bridge just fine.
