High C buzz from 0- 24 on fretless ebony board

I've had this issue with a TRB 6-p (91) for a few years. The C string buzzes from the open C all the way up the neck.

Other 5 strings are all fine. I have taken it in to a reputable shop here in Toronto, had the fretboard redone, same problem. They took another look at it, and still no change.

Any action height, any neck relief (obviously changes a bit from tweaking these, but still there, no real change in symptom) Its not the electronics, not the nut slot, not the nut height, dont know what other info I can give. Its strung with L.B. tape wounds.

I am (usually) competent when it comes to set ups and trouble shooting, but I'm stumped.

Thanks for any insight.

I would try changing the string, just to rule that out. If that didn't help I would have a good look at the bridge, looking for a good string break angle over the saddle, making sure there are no burrs on the saddle, making sure the string sits in there properly, and that the saddle slot is not too wide.

And try another reputable tech if you can't sort it out yourself. Some of these things are devilish to sort out.

Thanks for the tips.

I have had other strings on it. I did take it to a second shop, and explained the situation as I have here, the first thing he did was to jack the bridge string height up with a tiny scrap of wood.

I'll take a look for burs, but I think the wood experiment would have taken that one out of the equation. I obviously have no idea whats causing it, but if I had to guess, it sounds like its coming from the board, but I don't see how that could be, since its the whole range of the C. I think Devilish is the right word for it

If it would help, I could record it if anyone thinks that would help them narrow down the cause.

Thanks again for the suggestions. I appreciate the help.
