High fret

Got myself a 6 string a few weeks ago which I'm loving I have noticed however that I get a slight buzz during the initial attack when playing E at the 16th fret on the top (C) string. All other notes are fine on all strings so I'm pretty sure the 17th fret is just a fraction too high on the top side.

Is this easy to sort? I'm no dummy and quite practical so I'm happy to fix it myself if someone knows how...

(unless there is a danger I can really screw up my new baby in which case I'll take her to a local tech)

I had the same thing around the 12th fret on my c string. I just VERY CAREFULLY took some 400 grit sandpaper to it and followed up with 1000, 1600 and finally 0000 steel wool and a Dremel with the felt polishing wheel to it to smooth things out.

Slow and overly cautious work was the key...
