Hipshot Bass Tremolo Questions

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm considering getting a Hipshot bass tremolo installed on either my current bass, or on the next project I do. I've been wondering if you can go both up and down in pitch with it with the standard routing, or if there would need to be any extra taken out behind the bridge. Also, if anyone has this tremolo installed on their bass, I would greatly appreciate if you could post a detailed review of it in this thread, including both its pros and cons. Thanks in advance!

Hipshot Bass Tremelo

Hey Fellow Bassers, I just ordered this product for my bass and would love any and all info you can give on the hipshot (or any brand) tremelo for the bass.

In response to the thread question... I believe it should go both up and down in pitch with the standard routing instructions provided. You may have to go deeper to get the pitch to go high enough for your taste though.

Looking forward to being able to slap, pop, finger AND wiggle my bass
