Hipshot A bridge how to?

Getting a bass that has a hipshot a style bridge. It was originally set up as 19mm but the previous owner adjusted string spacing to 18mm. What is the correct way for me to correctly measure and adjust the spacing back to 19mm. I searched around for a thread with this specific info and found similar themes/topics but none addressing this question directly. Thanks!

Adjust it to a width that suits your technique.Forget the measuring tape,you don't need it.

Thanks, that was how I was going to try it out. More bye eye and feel than figuring out with a measuring tool.
