Hipshot D tuner cause dead string?

hey there. I installed some cheapo new strings and they played fine (for cheap strings) i added a hipshot d tuner and even without d tuning it so its perfectly tuned to E it sounds dead , alot weaker then the other strings.

Do you think for somereason the D tuner is making it sound bad? i need to change this strings any way some i will try that.

What gauge are the string? did you set up the bass properly after changing the strings? What gauge were they before the string swap?
