I am wondering if anyone has any solutions for the rattling that can sometimes occur to the adjustable screw that sets the D tuning? certain notes sometimes give me sympathetic vibrations that are really annoying.... is mine looser than it should be?

If you've tuned the lever to produce a D when flipped then it shouldn't vibrate.

Just lower the lever all the way down out of the way.

did you remember to put vaseline on the part the makes contact with the machine?

the buzzing isn't when it's tuned to the D - its when the lever is up in the E position.... then sometimes the D tuning screw rattles a bit
