One of my gifts for Christmas today was a hipshot D-tuner, however it wasn't the right one for my bass (it was BT2). Any idea which one's correct? It's a '94 Fotoflame Fender Precision Bass.

I have one on my yamaha, works great !

| | | | I think the BT2 is the best fit. Hipshots don't always fit 100% perfect, but that's a tough bass to fit. I think you'll be ok.

It just looks different. I don't think you'll find one for the Japanese basses from those years, apart from the reissues. |

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Chicago | | | WOW Well I just called Hipshot Products, and as it turns out, they don't have D-Tuners for MIJ Fenders, due to their post sizes. However I talked to a guy named Bill and he recommended the BT7 and he's sending me a custom fitted string post!
Talk about great service!
