Hipshot detuner question

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey there. I have a quick question regarding my Hipshot detuner. Are the plates supposed to be parallel and essentially close to touching? I never noticed it before, but there is a gap between the plates: .075" gap at the widest, only about .015" at its narrowest. So they're not parallel. Is this normal, and I'm concerned over nothing, or should I pursue servicing it?

See images and thanks in advance.

Yep, those two plates. Just wasn't sure if they were supposed to be parallel with a smaller gap.

Thanks! Thought I was seeing something that wasn't there before.
