This is specially made for Jauqo III-X.
He sent me some pictures that one of his friends took and gave me the permission to post those pictures here. Thanks again Jauqo!

I'd like to have something similar for my 5 string to drop E and B to D and A at the same time.

Thanks guys. And I love it.

I have the E and A string standard and I drop them down to C# and F# and sometimes I'll drop them down to C and F.

I wanted to have the ability to drop two open strings at the same time. So I asked Hipshot and explained my dilemma and they said ok.

I think it is a very practical tool(at least for me).

I am a Hipshot endorser.

That sounds like alot of tension to constantly be adding or subtracting to the neck of the bass. Couldn't something like that mess with your truss rod?

No not all. It's no more different than having certain gagues on a bass and d tuning it(constantly).

If something like that messes up a truss rod it wouldn't be the fault of the D-Tuner. It would basically be the quality of the instrument.

The standard Hipsot D-Tuners have been in use since the 80's and I have never heard of any one having truss rod problems with them.

Micheal Manring has several on his Signature bass as well as on the bridge.

Bass guitars can take a lot of pressure.

Thanks! I agree, basses are a LOT more sturdy than many people think they are. While Jauqo III-X has this one on a bass with a quarter-sawn, graphite reinforced neck, any well made standard wooden neck will be able to withstand those kinds of changes without problem.

Maybe I should ask to Jason or someone else from Hipshot but, Jauqo, do you think they'll sell me a similar unit, or is it still in prototype stage?

Very cool. I wish they had a D-tuner that could fit between keys. It's either the "E" only, or in your case E & A at once. I guess I could get a Hyperbass.

It's not a prototype at all.

That'd be wicked handy for me. I'm always dropping two strings at a time on my basses. This would save me the hassle of picking up another bass to handle the different tunings.

How do you get that glorious title? I've been replacing every possible bit of hardware with Hipshot stuff over the course of the past year. I will never use another brand again if I can help it. Such wonderful people.
