Hipshot extender tuner weight

Thinking about putting one of these on my Music Man Sterling. Does anyone know if the Hipshot is heavier than the stock Schaller? Thanks!

Yes, they are a bit heavier than the stock tuner.

I have a d tuner on all my MMs and I never noticed any weight difference. I'm sure there's a little, but it doesn't cause any neckdive if that's your concern.

+1.

It's definitely a little heavier since it's basically the same tuner with an extra plate and lever added on, but it's not a noticeable difference in the grand scheme of things.

Thanks all! Yes, I was concerned that it would introduce neck dive.

Don't know if it helps, I just weighed a Fender one 184 grams.
would have to be close to the MM.
you could weigh your current machine head & tape some washers or something in place to make up the difference and see what happens.

Though this is probably over thinking it.

I hate neck dive, but all my basses do it.
