hipshot on a fender

Sign in to disble this ad
i'm building a parts bass with a fender style neck and body. i've decided everything i want for the bass, except for the bridge. i'm very happy with all hipshot hardware i've ever had experience with, and as the body i'm buying doesn't have any holes for the bridge drilled, i can put on any bridge i want, and i want to be able to step away from the usual badass.

but it seems hipshot measure string spacing in a different way to what i'm used to. i was mainly thinking of getting the transtone bridge, in which the string spacing is ".750".

would this work with a fender neck? and if not, what string spacing am i looking for in hipshot terms?
