Hipshot HB1 Tuners: Tapered Posts?

Sign in to disble this ad
Can someone please tell me if the Hipshot HB1 tuning machines have tapered string posts?

Also, for 3+1 headstocks such as the StingRay, are the gears/keys easily reversible to accommodate the G string?

Thanks in advance.

I would order them directly from Hipshot so you get the proper set (3 bass side tuners and 1 treble side tuner). I don't know if they have tapered posts or not, but they are made to fit the 11/16" post hole so no extra bushings are required.

Turns out the HB1s do have tapered posts--just like the originals on my StingRay. No problem ordering 3 bass-side and one treble-side.

(I ordered mine from Best Bass Gear--really fast and great customer service. Recommended!)

You can order them with or without tapered posts.
