HIPSHOT PRAISE

Just wanted to say that after buying almost all of my Hipshot products off "the auction site" for the last 8 years or so (Rickenbacker bridge, other bridges, tuners, and D-tuners for almost all my basses)....... I finally decided to call and inquire about ordering direct.. and if I could get a discount from the listed price??

Now, I should tell what happened: I needed a set of tuners for a bass I'm building. They're listed at $33 (w/ free shipping) a piece on Hipshot's site. I checked on "the auction site" and found them for around $27 each YAY right..... wrong... $6 for shipping EACH for a total of $33 each. Seller said he'd combine shipping costs, so I asked how much. He said $6 each FIXED! $24 to ship 4 tuners is ABSURD!

So, I called Hipshot, told the guy that I'm a repeat customer from way back, having Hipshot products on almost every bass in my arsenal, and needless to say the money I saved on the 4 tuners and a string tree was enough to inspire this thread!!!

Now I'm kicking myself for having NOT done it sooner, LOL!!

Hipshot did me a similar solid on a bridge, but they best be careful: By shortcutting their retailers, they are risking losing them, which would be bad for all of us.

That makes sense, but w/ companies like Lakland using only Hipshot tuners and bridges, I don't foresee a problem.
