Hipshot replacement bridge for RIC 4003

Ok, I am considering a replacement bridge for my new RIC for 2 reasons.
1. I don't like the neck lift. Over at the RIC forum I'm told it's normal and it should stabilize. Currently it's about 1/16" off the body. I agree it's not much but others here at TB got me to thinking, should that really be acceptable for a brand new bass? Basically, it's normal and get used to it?

2. I like to set up my own basses and frankly to intonate the stock bridge is a PITA!. I mean seriously, unless I'm buying a vintage instrument, bridges should be that difficult.

so, I don't think the Hipshot replacement takes away too much from the original look. My question is, brass or aluminum? I assuming both will be in chrome. Not sure of the advantages/disadvantages of both? I'm guessing aluminum would be lighter.

I know this thread is a couple weeks old now, but...I would contact Hipshot and get the pros and cons for each. I would expect brass to be a bit heavier, but other than that ???
