Hipshot rivet

Hey TBers,
I sent a couple emails some weeks ago to the Hipshot people but they didn't reply. customer service.
Anyhow one of the rivets on my bass extender is missing. It's the rivet beside the "T" of the Hipshot etching. Everything looks ok but the 2 metal plates held together by the rivet are not 100% parallel now. Is this something that needs a fix or can I let it be?

Call them. They will take care of the problem.

Hey ZedZed,

I have tried to send a number of replies both times that we received your questions. Your email kept coming back as an invalid email address. Without another address to send a reply to, our hands are tied. I apologize for the inconvenience.
The one pop rivet missing will not affect the Xtender from working properly. It may look alittle odd but will not hurt anything. Many of our Xtenders only use one rivet to secure it to the swivel plate.
You can either replace it if you have access to one or send it back to us and we would be happy to replace the rivet for you.
We try to answer all of our emails in a timely fashion. If you do not receive a reply, please call us! You can reach us at- 800-262-5630.
Thanks!
Bill

Thanks for your reply Bill!
I'm not sure what happened with the email address not working though but I suppose I must have written it incorrectly twice!!?
Anyhow, upon reading your post here let me take my foot out of my mouth and correct myself and say that your customer service rocks!
Regarding the rivet, since it will not affect anything, I think I will just leave it as it is for now.

Thanks again!

No worries!
I have written to companies and have not received replies. I do understand the frustration from the not hearing back when problems arise. You can call us or PM me through TB.
Thanks!
Bill
