| Hipshot A style bridge - how adjustable is the spacing?

I was wondering if anyone had any first hand experience with the Hipshot A style bridges that are spacing adjustable?
I'm looking to get one of my basses adjusted so the g string is moved inward from the edge of the neck (i.e. not as close to the edge), then adjust the rest of the strings (it's a 5er).
Anyone's 2 cents are welcome here.
