Hofner Violin Bass Setup (Ignition)
It's been almost a year since I asked here about buying my first bass, and thanks to your help, I bought a Hofner Ignition Bass.
I'm very glad about my choice, and it hadn't give me any problem, but I noticed that both pickups, unlike the rest of my electric guitars, aren't parrallel to the strings.
It doesn't make it buzz, and it sounds great, but maybe it will sound better if I can manage to set them parallel. I'm not sure how is this supposed to be done, and If it's is so important.
I tried it the other day, and now they are more parallel, but they could be much better. I also set the bridge pickup a little bit further away from the strings, it sounded way too loud compared to the neck pickup. It sounds louder still, and more treble, but better in my opinion.
So, any of you know how to set the pickups parallel to the strings? It can not be as hard as it seems to me now.
