Hi,
I think of buying Hohner B2, headless, bodyless, neck-through, passive electronics bass. The seller says it is over 20 years old. Altrough the bass looks nice on pics, I need help in diagnosing the state of bass. What to check, how to check?
Whats the correct action for this bass??
How can I know if someone maybe overtightened the strings and maybe made some damage to the neck/body? No damages can be seen on pics, but maybe the bass has some damage from overtightened strings???
Because, in 20 years, it could had more owners, and there is a chance some of them didn't know how to operate it correctly.
Any help is welcome, esp how to diagnose if the neck is damaged. Because, that would mean the whole guitar is damaged, because of neck-through etc....Thanks
P.S. And do you think that The Jack, if in similar state, with active electronics, is worth 50$ more than B2? I can have B2 for 250$ and The Jack for 300$.
