Hondo 2 Bridge

Sign in to disble this ad
hi
im a guitarist who recently purchased a second hand bass a hondo 2 profesional, but the bridge on the guitar is broken, the problem is that its not a standard bridge its a peuter cast one wich i have been informed are hard to get hold of,
i canot find an image on the net but will take one today hopefuly,

now to the point

it works on three changable poles which change action, soo my plan currently is to either mount a standard bridge on blocks or mount a bridge on a pice of metal and then have that fit into the three pins

has any body attemped this befor or know where i could soures a piece like this.
thanks jon

are the saddles made of gold blocks? is it a string thru body bridge? if so i just took one off of an old bass of mine i turned into an eight string. if it is what you are looking for i can give it to you. i can try to post a picture of it when i get home from work later.

hello mrfhe...

i have seen the hondo 2 bass and know what the 3-pin bridge looks like...i've heard that the japanese companies made a lot of near-clones of american basses around that time, and that bridge setup is very close to the one that gibson used on their old eb3 basses...if you're lucky they are the same size, and you can use a gibson bridge as a replacement...good luck...
