Sign in to disble this ad
hot do you apply coat dye on the neck that doesnt run or pool together / run off (due to the radius of the back of the neck)?

Im doin this on a thru body rich eagle, the paint is all removed and Im ready for dye.

That's quite a step from intonation!! Rock on, bro!!

I've no idea. Surfing & searching the Luthiers Forum also might prove informative.

Thin coats, and lots of them. That's how I would do it.

lol, ya i have a BC Rich NJ Series that Ive already de-fretted (thanks to a confidence boost from the de-fret sticky). And I'm just stripping everyting and dying/re coating the whole thing. The intonation prob was on a shaddy six string. I keep my Jazz bass out of these expirements.

And thing coats will be the way to go then. and any thoughts on hanging opposed to one laying it down, doing one side at a time. its seems if I hang it, the dye will bleed down, but if i lay face down and tape the edges I may be able to avoid the dripping. Thoughts?
