How to defret a bass question

Sign in to disble this ad
So I'm interested in just trying to defret my squier AKA my first bass so I know how to do it and also to have something to screw around with. Could anyone link me to something that can tell me how to do this and/or just tell me how on here. Also, is it hard to do or is it easy?

At the top of the setup and repair forum there is a sticky on defretting, it is very long, very detailed, and has tons of great info. It guided me through a successful defretting, and if it doesn't do it for you just ask!
