How do I adjust a dual truss rod?????

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a USA Cirrus 6 out on the fedex truck on its way to my house today. I wanted to get it set up before rehearsal tonight. I will need to drop it all down a half step Eb. I'm hoping with a maple/walnut neck, and graphite reinforced that it wont move. But i'm sure it will. I have no idea how to attack a dual truss rod.
Help!

Truss rod are very usefull in my opinion.. i think you most work with 1/8 turns on each rod.. tune up the bass and see what you get.. maybe one of them need a little more than the other!

I have found that every new (to me) bass I have had shipped to me takes a few days to acclimate to the new environment. Every one that I have set up as soon as I got it had to be redone in a couple days. I just check it and if it is close enough to play, just play it for a day or two and then do it.

No, what I mean is, how do dual truss rods work? How do they affect the neck when you move them? Do they move the same way? opposite ways?
i'm under the impression that since the neck is so wide theres one rod for each half of the neck. So I'm assuming you should turn them both the same way and the same amount. I am also thinking it would be really easy to *%@& the neck up too.

They work like normal truss rods. Just make sure you adjust both rods in equal increments and check your relief on both sides of the neck.
