How do I screw my MIJ Jazz Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
I thought the title might get some attention to my question.

I just got a great deal on a 1988-98 MIJ Fender Jazz Bass.
I have a pickup cover I'd like to put on it. The pickguard has the screw holes, but the holes are not drilled. Is there any certain way I should drill them? Should i just choose the appropriate sized bit and go ahead?

Also, the bass has two knicks down to the wood. Both are
1 sq cm or smaller. It's an olympic white paint job. Is there
a way to simply protect these knicks from growing? A little white primer? Should I leave it alone and call it a Relic?

Lastly, I'm thinking of dropping in an Audre Z3 into it......

Thanks in advance for the advice.

I have this listed in "Basses" too. I hope that's alright. Let me know if I have to close this one.

New strings and a gentle polishing might be a good way to start.

First off take it to dinner. Buy it some strings, maybe a but of polish.

Then use the input jack.
