How to heal a bass wart bubble flaker?

Sign in to disble this ad
Help! Got a Douglas violin bass 2day with the usual poly finish.

Only one little cosmetic nick, about 1/16" square area where finish did not "take" at juncture of body and neck on the knobs side, where the pickguard might start, like a tiny bubble that burst maybe, it's small and hard to find even, but maybe needs a little lacquer or something to make sure it doesn't turn into a flaking area.

It's already made up of 2-3 flakes, don't want to pick it or it might cause a bigger wart, or like half the finish coming off in one satisfying "thukk". Don't want that. Suggestions?
