How long does it take a neck to settle down after a truss rod adjustment?

I typically wait overnight, and that's pretty much all I hear around here, but I'm recording some stuff in ~five hours, and I'm tweaking my set up a little bit. Is a couple hours enough to let a truss rod adjustment fully take effect?

I would think 5 hours would be more than enough time if you are only tweaking it "a little bit" - like no more than 1/4 turn. I would recommend you play the thing for a while right after you tweak it. That should make it settle in faster.

Backing off adjustments should be almost immediate... It's the increase in tension that takes time to pull the neck...
